The 9th District Police Station, located along Halsted Street from 31st Street south to just past 32nd Street, also achieved LEED Gold Certification. It includes a 250-vehicle parking structure for the public and police personnel. The new facility is based on a 42,000 sf prototype design and is nearly five times the size of the original building that was located at 3501 South Lowe.

The new station was built alongside the existing police department which is a historic building and achieved LEED Gold Certification.
