The City Colleges of Chicago at Kennedy-King College hired Wight to design Sikia, a restaurant within the Washburne Culinary Institute that would provide “real world” experience as a student-run facility. The modern design of the restaurant features African anigre mahogany panels, wood ceiling features, and the interplay of various color and textural elements. The Washburne Culinary Institute at Kennedy-King College is located in the Englewood neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.
