Summit Explores the Challenges and Opportunities of NetZero Energy
1/1
Thank you to all who attended our NetZero Energy Summit on September 24th, cohosted with DuPage County, Power Forward DuPage, and Cool DuPage.
Have you ever envisioned a world powered by the sun? At the Summit, speakers Lois Vitt Sale, FAIA, LEED Fellow - Chief Sustainability Officer & Senior Vice President, Wight & Company - and Kevin Horsfall, PLA, ASLA - Manager of Planning, Forest Preserve District of DuPage County - discussed their journeys toward a solar-powered future from both an owner’s perspective retrofitting existing buildings, as well as how efficiency and renewable energy go hand-in-hand in new construction.
Speakers and attendees (virtual and socially distanced in person) also explored the challenges and opportunities, and why photovoltaics are an important and promising technology for buildings. Wight & Company supports the netzero community and welcomes the opportunity to engage in these conversations.
A special thanks goes to the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County for hosting the event outside at the scenic Herrick Lake Forest Preserve. You can view the summit in its entirety below!
