Wight & Company's Darien Headquarters building is located on a major migratory bird flyway with many windows facing a forested area, creating a situation that can injure birds who fly into our windows seeking refuge in our office or thinking the reflected trees are shelter. This spring we installed a custom-designed film on the outside face of our glass to prevent bird strikes. Providing bird strike deterrents is a strategy we use on many projects we design; these measures save lives and inspire our clients and the public to act as good stewards of our environment.
